Senior Hardware Engineer

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you play a key role in creating complex hardware and making smart, connected products. You take full ownership of the hardware product lifecycle: from design and development to integration, testing, and (production) optimization. You collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and work directly with our partners to deliver real, working solutions, fast. Our culture is one of experimentation and iteration. In this role you’ll guide our talented engineers in designing, testing, and delivering cutting-edge electronics, while fostering growth, creativity, and collaboration. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Design & quality oversight: Create and review PCB designs, schematics, and component choices, ensuring engineering quality and compliance from the start. 

• Improve & innovate: Drive company-wide process, hardware development improvements and improving Vention’s maturity.

• Test & validate: Oversee validation and integration, collaborating with QA and software teams. 

• Mentor & share: Mentor other hardware engineers, supporting their careers and creating a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with customers, suppliers, and partners, as well as internal project managers and software teams. 

• End-to-end focus: Oversee the full product life cycle: from concept and architecture, through design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production.

• Full product life cycle impact: Support our production and operations teams with your hardware knowledge and skills to quickly resolve issues in production and throughout the product lifecycle.

• Unlock production potential: Support Vention’s production team and assembly partners in introducing new products into production and scale-up.

• 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with proven success in bringing hardware products from idea to manufacturing. 

• Proven (2+ years) experience in a production environment of electronic or mechatronic products, knowledge of production and quality systems and methodologies.

• Strong background in PCB design, embedded systems, and testing. 

• Proficiency with PCB design tools like Altium. 

• Strong knowledge of digital & analog circuits, microcontrollers, and power management.

• Experience with wireless communication and RF circuits is a pré. 

• A pragmatic problem-solver who loves turning challenges into opportunities. 

• Experience in performing root-cause-analyses and solving complex multi-disciplinary engineering and production issues.

• Good technical writing skills.

• Experience working independently and in teams in complex projects. 

• Fluent in English (written & spoken).
